I'm Amanda, a qualified integrative counsellor.
With over 30 years of experience supporting individuals, children, and families across a wide range of career settings, I bring both depth and warmth to my counselling practice.
My journey began as a qualified private childcare provider , working both in the UK and abroad, before moving into education, where I supported children in primary school settings, including those with special educational needs. During this time, I was also a valued member of the safeguarding team—an experience that strengthened my understanding of child protection and emotional wellbeing.
I have also worked within respite fostering, providing care and stability for children in need of short-term support, and later in social work, which expanded my awareness of complex life challenges through all age groups and the importance of holistic, person-centred care.
Now my career is within counselling which I always have had a passion for throughout my adult life.
These varied roles have shaped me into a counsellor who leads with empathy, practical insight, and a strong foundation in real-life experience. I’m passionate about creating a safe, non-judgemental space where clients can feel heard, understood, and supported in moving forward.
